Best 10 Day Split
A balanced Turkiye first trip is four nights in Istanbul, three nights in Cappadocia, and three nights in Antalya or the coast. Istanbul gives mosques, bazaars, ferries, neighborhoods, and food. Cappadocia gives cave hotels, valleys, sunrise viewpoints, and balloon plans. Antalya adds beaches, old-town streets, ruins, waterfalls, and a softer finish.
Istanbul Base
Sultanahmet is convenient for first-time sightseeing, while Galata, Karakoy, and Kadikoy can feel better for evenings and food. Istanbul is larger and more layered than many visitors expect. Do not try to see every landmark in one day; build time for ferries, tea, and neighborhood wandering.
Cappadocia Timing
Cappadocia needs at least two nights because balloon flights depend on weather. Even if you do not fly, the valleys, cave hotels, viewpoints, and open-air museum justify the stop. Book popular balloon operators early and keep expectations flexible.
Antalya Finish
Antalya works as a beach break, family base, or history route. In summer, heat can make ruins and old-town walks tiring, so plan early starts and late afternoons. Domestic flights are often the easiest way to connect these three regions without losing too much time.
